DRUM & DOODLE
Sunday, March 26: 10 to 11 AM
Recommended Ages 1 to 5

Young children will make melodies and rhythms along with the gentle beats of Olympia Avignone and Steve Collins. They will also have the opportunity to doodle with paints, crayons, and magic markers. (Instruments provided.) Snacks and refreshments included.

LIGHTHOUSE FIBER COLLAGE
Wednesday, March 29: 4-6pm
Recommended Ages 6 to 11

Using recycled clothing, we will create fiber collages of the Athens-Hudson lighthouse! You will be provided with a template and all materials necessary to create your unique, vibrantly colored collage. Any bright clothes or fabric scraps you’d like to contribute to your piece are welcome, but not necessary.

April 7, First Friday - 5-7pm

Looking Back, Stepping Forward: Drawing on Athens rich history of architecture, pottery, colors, and shapes, ACC unveils a new brand identity system and new fonts designed by Athens residents Tracy Jenkins and Chester Jenkins.

The exhibition is organized by Annika Vogt and will remain in the windows of ACC through April 16.

The First Friday celebration includes snacks and drinks sponsored by ACC Board members, and piano music by Elizabeth MacFarland.

When is the deadline for the April Member show? The deadline to submit is the art drop-off day: Tuesday April 11, 4-7pm. We ask that you fill out the online form in advance and send us a photo of your work, but if you don't get to it, no problem. You can fill out the form when you come. (The form is an attempt to make the drop-off as smooth and quick as possible). The work coming in is so so good... please encourage your friends to show work as well. Let's make an event of it. Any medium encouraged - sculpture, photography, drawing, painting, mixed media, more. What if I'm not available April 11? Can a friend drop off your work? If not write to us and we'll figure something out. [email protected] How do I know if my membership is up to date? Memberships last one calendar year. We're pretty analogue with our system so reach out if you have questions about whether or not your membership is up to date. Not a member? Join Here SAVE THE DATE, THE NEXT MEMBER SHOW: IN THIS MOMENT April 22 to May 21 All members are welcome to submit up to two works of any medium, and awards include various prizes including a feature show next year. IN THE MOMENT will feature the work of last year's winner, K.
